Six Core Principles of Data Protection pro2

This is the foundation of how pro2 handles every Malaysian player's personal information with full accountability and care

Minimal Data Collection
pro2 only collects the personal data strictly required to operate our services — account registration, payment processing in MYR and legal compliance. We do not collect excessive or irrelevant data beyond what is needed to provide our services to you.
256-Bit SSL Encryption at All Times
Every piece of data you send to pro2 – from the registration form to deposit transactions via DuitNow or Touch 'n Go eWallet – is protected with 256-bit SSL encryption, the same standard used by Malaysia's leading banking institutions such as Maybank and CIMB. No data is ever transmitted unprotected.
No Sale of Data to Third Parties
pro2 has never sold, rented, or traded your personal data to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes, and we never will. Your data belongs to you — we only manage it on your behalf to deliver the services you signed up for.
Your Data, Your Control
pro2 players have the full right to access, correct, transfer, or request deletion of their personal data. Contact us at [email protected] and we will process your request within 14 business days in accordance with the requirements of PDPA 2010.
Full Compliance with Malaysia's PDPA 2010
All data collection, storage, processing and usage practices at pro2 are in full compliance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010. We conduct regular compliance reviews and update this policy whenever relevant legislative changes occur.
Prompt Data Breach Notification
In the event of any security incident involving your personal data, pro2 will notify you and the relevant authorities within the timeframe required by law. Transparency is one of our core values – we will never conceal any incident that affects the security of your data.
Important Note: This Privacy Policy forms part of your agreement with pro2 and should be read together with Terms & Conditions ours. By registering for or using the pro2 platform, you agree to the data collection and usage practices described here. If you have any questions about your privacy, contact us at [email protected].

We are committed to handling your privacy in a transparent, fair manner that respects your rights as an individual. This policy is written in plain language — no confusing legal jargon — so you always know exactly what happens to your data at pro2.

How Your Personal Data Is Used

Pro2 uses the personal data we collect solely for legitimate, clearly stated purposes. We do not use your data for any other purpose without first obtaining your consent. The primary purposes for which we use your data are as follows:

  • Account Management: To register, verify and manage your pro2 account, including processing logins, identity verification and account settings management.
  • Payment Processing: To process MYR deposits via FPX (Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks), DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost or ShopeePay, and to process winnings withdrawals to your Malaysian bank account.
  • Game Service Provision: To enable you to access and play all games on the pro2 platform, including slots, live casino and video poker.
  • Legal Compliance (KYC & AML): To fulfil the Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements mandated under Malaysian law.
  • Fraud Prevention: To detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent activity, platform abuse or violations of our Terms & Conditions.
  • Responsible Gaming: To monitor gameplay patterns in order to identify players who may need responsible gaming support, and to connect them with relevant resources.
  • Marketing (with Consent): To send players who have consented to receive marketing communications information about pro2's latest promotions, bonuses and offers. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
  • Product Improvement: To analyse platform usage patterns on an aggregated basis (without identifying individuals) in order to improve the playing experience and develop better new features for Malaysian players.
  • Customer Support: To handle your enquiries, complaints and requests via live chat or email, and to maintain communication records for quality control purposes.
4

Legal Basis for Data Processing

In accordance with Malaysia's PDPA 2010, pro2 only processes your personal data on a valid legal basis. The following outlines the legal grounds we rely on for each type of processing:

  • Contract: Processing necessary to fulfil the service contract between you and pro2 — this includes account management, payment processing, and the provision of gaming services.

  • Legitimate Interest: Processing for the purposes of fraud prevention, platform security and service improvement that does not unduly affect your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent: Processing for marketing purposes and promotional communications — this requires your explicit consent and may be withdrawn at any time without affecting any other services we provide to you.
Right to Withdraw Consent: If the processing of your data is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by contacting [email protected]. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.
5

Data Sharing with Third Parties

Pro2 does not sell, rent or disclose your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, there are limited situations where we need to share your data with certain parties as part of our service operations:

  • Payment Service Providers: Required financial transaction information is shared with Malaysian payment processors such as FPX, DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost and ShopeePay processors solely to process your deposits and withdrawals in MYR. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and their own data security standards.
  • Game Software Providers: Required game data is shared with game software providers solely to ensure games function properly. No more personal identifying data is shared than is strictly necessary.
  • Legal Authorities: pro2 will disclose your personal data to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, or Malaysian courts where required by law, court order, or AML/KYC compliance obligations. We will notify you of any such disclosure unless prohibited from doing so by law.
  • Technology Service Providers: Certain technical services such as cloud hosting, analytics and IT support may involve authorised third-party providers. All such providers are bound by data processing agreements that ensure your data is protected to the same standards as pro2.

In all of the above situations, pro2 ensures that only the minimum necessary data is shared, and all parties receiving your data are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.

6

Data Security Measures

The security of your data is a responsibility that pro2 takes very seriously. We implement a range of technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction:

  • 256-bit SSL/TLS Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and pro2's servers is protected by 256-bit SSL encryption – the same standard used by Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. Whenever you see the padlock icon in your browser's address bar, your data is secure.
  • Data Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data stored in our databases, including financial information and identity verification details, is stored in encrypted form. Even in the event of unauthorised access to the database, the data cannot be read without the decryption key.
  • Internal Access Controls: Access to players' personal data within pro2 is restricted to staff who genuinely require it to carry out their responsibilities (the "need to know" principle). All access is logged and monitored.
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): All pro2 internal systems that store or process player data are secured with two-factor authentication for staff who access them.
  • 24/7 Security Monitoring: Our cybersecurity team monitors pro2's systems continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to detect and respond to any threats or suspicious activity in real time.
  • Regular Penetration Testing: pro2 conducts regular penetration testing carried out by independent security specialists to identify and address any system vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
Your Responsibilities: While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, data security is a shared responsibility. Make sure your pro2 account password is strong and unique, never share it with anyone, and log out of your account when using a shared device. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately.
7

Pro2 retains your personal data for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or for as long as Malaysian law requires us to do so. The general principles governing our retention periods are as follows:

  • Financial & Transaction Records: Records of all financial transactions – MYR deposits via FPX, DuitNow, TNG eWallet, GrabPay, withdrawals and so on – are retained for seven (7) years after a transaction occurs, in accordance with Malaysia's tax and AML legal requirements.
  • Identity Verification Data (KYC): Identity verification documents submitted during the KYC process are retained for five (5) years after the business relationship ends, in accordance with Malaysia's Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
  • Closed Account Data: Following account closure at a player's request, core data will be retained for the period required by law and subsequently deleted or anonymised securely.
  • Support Communication Data: Live chat transcripts and support emails are retained for two (2) years for quality control purposes and to assist in resolving any disputes that may arise.

Once your data is no longer needed and the specified retention period has lapsed, pro2 will delete or anonymise it in a secure and irreversible manner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Privacy FAQs pro2

Clear, straightforward answers to the questions Malaysian players ask most about their data privacy

No. pro2 does not share your account information with banks, insurance companies or any financial institutions for their marketing or credit assessment purposes. The only financial information shared with third parties is the minimum transaction data necessary to process your deposits and withdrawals – such as your DuitNow account number shared with FPX payment processors – and this is done solely to carry out the transactions you requested. Your bank may show pro2 transaction records on your bank statement, but this is standard transaction information and not a personal data sharing initiative on our part.

Yes, you may request the deletion of your personal data by submitting a request to [email protected]. However, this right is not absolute in all situations. There is certain data that pro2 is legally required to retain under Malaysian law — for example, financial and transaction records must be kept for seven years for tax audit and AML compliance purposes. In such cases, we will inform you of which data can be deleted and which must be retained, along with the relevant legal grounds. Data not subject to any legal retention obligation will be deleted within 30 business days of the request being verified.

pro2 does not store full credit card numbers. For payments made via FPX, DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, or ShopeePay, all transactions are processed directly through the respective payment provider's system. pro2 only receives transaction confirmation details (such as transaction ID and payment status) — never full card or account details. For DuitNow and FPX, we store your bank account number in encrypted format solely to ensure withdrawals are processed to the correct account. In all cases, sensitive financial data is stored with encryption and strict access controls.

Your gaming activity data – including betting history, game preferences and session patterns – is used by pro2 for three primary purposes: (1) To deliver a better experience, such as relevant game recommendations and promotional offers tailored to your preferences; (2) To fulfil our responsible gaming obligations by identifying gameplay patterns that may indicate risk; and (3) To analyse platform performance in aggregate for product improvement. Your gaming activity data is never sold or shared with third-party advertisers, external analytics companies or any other commercial parties.

Should pro2 need to cease operations, we will take the following steps regarding player data: (1) Provide adequate notice to all active players of the service closure; (2) Ensure all real-money balances are fully refunded to players prior to closure; (3) Data required for legal compliance will be retained for the period prescribed by law, even after closure; (4) Data not subject to any legal obligation will be securely deleted. In the event of a sale or merger of the pro2 business, players will be informed and given the option to withdraw before their data is transferred to the new entity.

pro2 ensures PDPA 2010 compliance through several mechanisms: (1) appointment of an internal Privacy Officer responsible for monitoring and maintaining ongoing compliance; (2) regular data protection training for all staff who handle player data; (3) data protection impact assessments (DPIA) prior to implementing any new processes or systems involving personal data; (4) periodic reviews of the privacy policy to ensure it reflects current practices and legislative changes; (5) data processing agreements with all third parties that handle player data on our behalf. If you have concerns about our PDPA compliance, you may contact us at [email protected] or lodge a complaint with the Department of Personal Data Protection Malaysia.
